How do I create and delete cron job in cPanel?

The Cron Job is an integrated feature in your cPanel that helps you to assign unmanned and automated server duties. You can easily create cron job by following the simple process.

Login to your cPanel

Click on “Cron Jobs” within the category of “Advanced” in your cPanel





Here are some fields that you need to understand when setting cron jobs

Cron Email: This section allows you to set an email where you want to receive the notification email after the cron job has finished. Therefore make sure that the “Current Email” is valid and right email for receiving the cron job notification emails. By providing a new email and clicking on “Update Email” will update your “Current Email”.

Select your preferences to run the cron job from the dropdown boxes you can see in the section “Add New Cron Job”. These dropdown menu and boxes will help you to set your cron job on the basis of “Minute”, “Hour”, “Day”, “Month” and “Weekday”. While the common setting range every one minute to one year. “Command” is the field where you’ll enter the command to run, like if you desire to execute a script,you’ll enter its command here.

Note: You can edit or delete the cron jobs under the area“Current Cron Jobs” located at the bottom of your “Cron Job” page.
