How does it take a domain to propagate? Print

The DNS of a new domain may take 24 to 48 hours to properly start working, the process of updating the root name server and cache records with the DNS information across the web is known as propagation. How quickly your visitor may start directing to your new name server also depends on their physical location.

But after the propagation is complete, your website will start appearing across to all the visitors across the globe. Hostings House holds no control on the propagation of your domain, but during this process you can access your website by going to address bar of your browser and typing http://yourIP/~accountname. This information (servers IP address and account name) has already been sent to you in the welcome email you have received from Hostings House after your subscription.
