Which directory do my files go in?

To make your website visible for public, you need to put your files in public-html folder. It is actually the web root directory public-html which makes your main domain visible when someone types it. The root directory will open by default upon logging into the FTP. Place your website files in public-html in order to make them accessible publicly.
