What is SSH?

SSH, secure socket shell or simply socket shell provides you a secure UNIX based command interface for getting access to the server remotely. The secure environment allows you to remotely access the server, provide server commands and manage the server without actually having an access to the physical server itself. The tool is largely used by the network administrators to control and manage the server by getting secure remote access. Most commonly SSH is the part of the dedicated server features, and you won’t be able to access SSH with reseller and shared servers due to the security reason.
